March

Sorry for the long delay....Here is a summary of our March 2013! Life is busy with two little ones and I really don't want to use my down time to blog most of the time...but here I sit on this beautiful May day and was fortunate to get both boys to sleep at the same time! So, here we go....

This has been the longest winter ever but it didn't stop us from getting outside and playing.

Landin taking his first ride in the bike trailer!

I think he likes it!

The kids in our cul-de-sac are so good with taking advantage of any snow we get.  They built this ramp and we got to enjoy it!

We love the zoo especially when Daddy is working there. TRAX had a big job at the zoo and rebuilt there parking lot. We tried to take as many trips there as possible to see daddy, ride on big trucks, and use our zoo pass. I think Jamin loved seeing his daddy and the trucks more than the animals during these visits lol.

Daddy and Jamin in the skid!

Jamin is so excited to put his money in for his vote!

Landin is really into the truck not the animals lol....you just wait Landin.

My handsome boy!

Jamin was not afraid of this big guy at all lol.

One of my favorite pictures of daddy and son!

Walking next to his new friend lol

Love this picture of all the men in my life!
Feeding the chickens!

Our nephew Wyatt turned 5 in March! I didn't get a picture of the birthday boy but here is a picture of Kyle and the boys at the party.

Landin enjoying a balloon from the party
We took a trip up to Keystone, CO with Kyle's family. We had a great time and got to watch our Nephew Josiah ski for the very first time!
Just hanging out

Jamin being silly

At this point in time I was thinking Landin is closer to walking than crawling but he ended up surprising me at the end of the month.

Josiah tackling Landin

Grandpa and Landin

Uncle Craig reading a bedtime story to all the kids

We can't have fun without a fort of some sort lol

I snuck this picture...Wyatt and Caleb sleeping lol, Caleb is halfway under the ottoman

Sledding!

Grandma, Landin and cousin Noah in the morning

Just beautiful!

I couldn't get enough of this

More sledding!

Wyatt showing off his sledding skills

Love this one of Caleb

Kyle was the snow taxi and carried kids and pulled some on his homemade sled cart lol

Josiah getting ready to go down the mountain!

Jamin wanted to try out the ski equipment.

Josiah with all his gear!

On the way up the mountain!

Josiah in action!

Craig really got lucky and got to go up with Josiah and ride a ski bike down

My boys

The whole family!

Landin checking out the snow

After getting back home the weather was nice enough to go outside.
No matter how cold it is outside, Jamin has to have the sand between his toes

An amazing big brother pushing Landin in the swing

Oh boy, Jamin dressing himself has been interesting lol...He his showing off his nail gun here

Jamin wearing Kyle's Zuppas....he calls them daddy's zebra pants

More tools and silliness
A week or so before easter I made some homemade teething biscuits for Landin. Both the boys enjoyed them thought. I made them into bunnies and crosses.

Yummy!

Another great zoo trip! This time we went with our friend Sonya and her two boys, Nathan and Josh.
Kyle was working up there this day so we got to see him too!

My boys in the new elephant exhibit.

Nathan helping Jamin up or giving him a hug lol

It's not a zoo trip unless you feed the giraffes!

The little ones, Landin and Josh

Feeding the chickens

Jamin getting a ride in his favorite machine!

Kyle's lovely finger from working that day...A piece of wood broke off. I got to pull it out that night

Did I mention that the weather this winter has been horrible...cold most days and dry...only a few snow storms so we didn't have many days we could play in the snow. It was super windy too. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but when you are a stay-at-home mom and have two little ones, it makes it really hard to get out and have fun. Luckily we have Focus on the Family.

Jamin sneaking his way into the picture lol

Trying to get a family picture

Much better!

Some randoms...
Jamin had the idea to take care of his monkey like a baby one day....it was only for one day and then he has never brought it up again lol. The night before I asked for God to give me a sign if He wants us to have more children so I thought it was very interesting that this behavior came out in Jamin the next day.  It was very sweet and cute though. He changed his diaper and fed him with a bottle.

NO GIRLS ALLOWED!!!!!!!
The boys built a fort and it quickly became a 'boys only' fort. Even Malachi got to go in but unfortunately no mommy :(
Jamin peeking out to say hi
VIDEO: Here is a video of Jamin explaining the rules to me

On March 23, we dedicated Landin to our great and amazing Lord! We are so blessed to have been given a small group with kids all around the same age. Have I mentioned before that we have four couples and all have boys 2 and under. We are working on a football team! Landin was dedicated along with two of the other boys in our small group, Joshua and Jonah.

VanHorn family!

The babies that got dedicated!

Our whole small group, minus two of the boys, Grady and Crew.

The Terry Family, minus my brother-in-law.

Finally, some snow! Jamin loves to shovel. He couldn't wait to get out there and clear some snow!

Love this smile!

Nothing like homemade hot cocoa to warm you up after playing in the snow
It was a little too windy out to play so we decided to bring the snow inside...the boys didn't seem to mind a bit though lol.

Craft time!

I think this is just the cutest thing ever lol

The boys favorite it the blocks...they make a huge mess
Easter weekend....
We started with an easter egg hunt with my family at our neighborhood rec center.

Jamin was totally freaked out by the easter bunny last year...he has come such a long way!

The older three cousins

Cousins minus little logan, he was sleeping

Landin loving this egg lol

Kaydence and Addy's turn to go!

Jamin had a ton of energy and was running around like a mad man, praise God for Grandma who chased him everywhere lol

Celebrating Easter, just the 4 of us on Easter morning.
Making resurrection rolls to help Jamin understand the real meaning of Easter.

Landin only had one giant easter egg to find lol

Jamin loved his tiny animals that were in his easter eggs.

reading the Easter story to the boys while our resurrection rolls bake.

Landin cuddling with his easter gift from Grandma Terry. It was actually given to Jamin but he decided to give it to Landin. Jamin isn't much of a stuffed animal kinda guy lol

This is how Landin fell asleep in the car on our way to Kyle's parents house lol
More easter egg hunting...Kyle's family has a tradition of using REAL hardboiled eggs for their hunt...pretty neat!

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

4/20-4/24

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Here are a few pictures! We even go the moose in the picture! Jamin got scared of the big hippo :( ...

Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
