Family Stay-cation

In February, we had planned a family stay-cation in Denver. We had two birthday parties in Denver to go to so we decided to make a weekend out of it!

Our boys love hotels! This is the first thing they did when we got to the hotel!
So glad we came all the way up to Denver for vacation and just watch TV in bed lol. That coziness didn't last too long before we were ready to go to the hotel pool. We all got in our swimsuits and piled on the elevator. A man asked us where we where going and we said swimming at the hotel pool. He gave us a funny look and said, 'hmmm that's weird, I've stayed here a lot and have never seen a pool'. As we exited the elevator, there was a party going on in the lobby that we all walked through in our swimsuits. We kindly asked the front desk if they had a pool and she explained that they have an outdoor one that is closed for the season. Oops....BUT she said that they have a hot tub outside that is up and running. We were grateful for that! The boys didn't seem to mind and we all had a lot of fun swimming in the hot tub 3 more times that weekend!

The next morning we headed to the Denver Aquarium to pass some time before one of the bday parties. We got there a little early so we took a walk along the stream nearby.

 The Denver Aquarium!

We had a great time. It was exactly what we needed after tearing out all the tile and having a busy schedule leading up to this weekend.

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

4/20-4/24

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Here are a few pictures! We even go the moose in the picture! Jamin got scared of the big hippo :( ...

Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
