Easter 2018

Our neighbor, Tanya, and I walked up to the fire-station by our house with the boys for our community Easter egg hunt. The boys had a lot of fun on the bounce house and getting all the eggs!

Coloring Easter eggs with Grandpa and Grandma VanHorn and cousins! Dylin wanted to eat while he colored the eggs lol.

 Cousin fun!

We hosted my family for Easter. I made a hunt and pinata game for the kids to enjoy.

Cousins waiting to go find their eggs!
We also went over to the VanHorn's for Easter lunch and their tradition of Real egg hunting!

This was the first year we did not buy our kids Easter baskets and made all the activities we did as our family of 5 centered around Jesus and the true meaning of Easter. Each day leading up to Easter we read part of the Easter story and watched and listened to the boys and how they are developing their own understanding of this very important day. I loved seeing how each remembered certain parts in certain ways and how much they remembered from last year! Jamin even remember the significance of the rooster and crown of thorns. Ultimately, I pray they took away that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, their sins and everyone else's sins, and that he raised on the third day so that he can live inside of each one of us and guide us and teach us! He is Risen! He is Alive! Thank you Jesus for being crucified and fulfilling every promise!

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Here are a few pictures! We even go the moose in the picture! Jamin got scared of the big hippo :( ...

Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
