Learning so much

This past week and weekend our family was super busy, not to mention we were all sick. Jamin seems to be doing better today but the past few nights he's been waking up with coughs and cries :(. I am on antibiotics for a swollen tonsil that I've been battling with since December...it's not painful, I just feel like a I a dry throat all the time...On Christmas Eve I went to see a doctor about it and had an ear infection and at that time I got some antibiotics. After completing those my ear didn't hurt anymore but my throat continues to be a little sore everyday.
Today Jamin and I were able to make it to story time at our library in Falcon. Although we make weekly trips to the library every Tuesday, we struggle to make it to the 1000am storytime. He is by far the youngest in the place but that didn't seem to bother him at all. I'm starting to wonder if he is going to be a very social person because he LOVED interacting with all the other little kids there and was making more noise than they were. He especially loved it when the leader started blowing bubbles...he got so excited lol. I myself am someone who grew up very shy so it will be interesting to see how his personality comes out in the next few years.
Lately I've been trying to read many books and the one that I am in right now is Bringing Up Boys, by James Dobson. Several friends have read it and so I thought it would be a good read. I have learned so much already. I myself did not have brothers growing up and the closest thing to experiencing boys growing up was when my cousin Michael would come over and play with my sister and I, and when I would babysit two boys that were 7 and 12 years old. This book has been eye-opening in the sense of thinking about how Jamin may act while growing up...if he's anything like his daddy, he is going to give me a heart attack by the time he turns 10 lol. It's also effected the role I play in bringing him up and how important Kyle is to his overall health. I am excited to read more but this book seems to be taking me forever to finish....there is soooo  much information and studies and not to mention the bold statements that the author makes throughout the book.
Sunday and Monday of this week I had been going through, what I feel is, a spiritual battle with a few things going on in my life and the lives of others. It may also have been in part due to the exhaustion I faced on Monday after only getting an hour or two of sleep. Thankfully God is always there to guide and fight for my well being. My quiet time on Monday morning brought me to tears, which hasn't happened in a long time, while I read through Deuteronomy.Needless to say, the Lord showed me a lot of things about myself and how I was viewing what was going on around me. Praise the Lord for being amazing and almighty!
This weekend Kyle and I went to the Dave Ramsey Live event (We would like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to our awesome and amazing friends who bought the tickets for us). It came in perfect timing because lately I have been feeling so weak when it comes to spending. Sometimes I'll have thoughts like, we should take a month off of paying my student loans and put in grass in our backyard, or, thinking that I need things that I don't. This event totally made me "mad" again and I really just want to pay off these student loans and then work on the house and so on. We praise God for protecting us and giving us strength during this time....not to mention providing like no other. Lately things have come up where God has been amazing us all over the place. Our vacuum broke and when we finally decided to order one online we put up the money for it and submitted our order...the crazy thing about this story is that the company never got/processed the order and we were never charged for the vacuum and it wasn't shipped. That same week we got a FREE vacuum from a family member who rebuilt some old ones and was about to give them to Goodwill. Now we not only have one working vacuum, we have two! How amazing is that?!  I've also been wanting a new Kitchenaid for a while but know how much they cost. I would always tell Kyle that I will just keep waiting until we can afford one. A few weeks ago my mother-in-law called me up and asked if I would be interested in a new Kitchenaid! I asked her is Kyle had talked to her about one and she said no....how amazing, now I have a brand new kitchenaid mixer and I love it! There are several other things that have happened but I think I need to stop there because I've made this an extremely long and now boring blog for everyone and most have probably stopped reading by now lol.
Sorry no pictures...I'll make sure to get some new ones up soon :)

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
