Jamin's first broken bone.

While we were at the VanHorn family reunion, Jamin tried to jump out of a tall slide and his feet ended up getting caught and he landed on the ground with his arms out in front of him. Kyle and I didn't not see it and we really didn't think much of it. Jamin wasn't too upset, just babying his arm and took a break from playing with his cousins and second cousins. After a little while he went back out to play, but still babying his arm. By the time we left his wrist was swollen but he wasn't acting like I thought a five year old would act if he just broke his arm. So, we went out to dinner with my parent's for Father's day. By end of dinner, he was still babying it and his wrist was tight so we decided to take him in to get x-rays. The doctor told us that she didn't need x-rays to know that it was indeed broken. After x-rays came back we got to see that he broke off a small piece of his radius bone across the growth plate.

After getting his temporary cast on.

A few days later we had to follow-up with an orthopaedic surgeon to see what needed to be done to fix his arm. Thankfully the break should heal with a long-arm cast. He needs to wear the full arm cast for 4 weeks and then a short arm splint for 4 more weeks. The doctor assured me, that these breaks always heal and to not worry about the growth plate.
After getting his full arm cast on. It was still a little wet and sticky when we left the doctors office which is why he has it wrapped.

Jamin got his first signature in the mail! Our neighbor, Emilee, who is in the Navy and in training in Illinois, heard about Jamin and sent him a bandaid to stick onto his cast with her signature on it! So cute!

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
