Fresh from the Garden

This year our garden went much better than last year. I guess it's now a tradition to plant on Mother's day weekend which I absolutely love! We planted everything from seeds instead of buying plants. I also made wiser decisions on what to plant. Last year I just went with what ever plants the store had. The boys have been loving picking fresh carrots and eating them straight from the ground. We also have ONE pumpkin that we are excited to harvest at the end of October. Our giant sunflowers are definitely GIANT! We recently harvested two of the biggest ones and started to dry them so we can have sunflower seeds to eat! The only seeds that didn't do so well were the watermelons :(. I think we will try something else besides water melon next year but overall I was pretty pumped about our little garden!

We also have an apple tree in our backyard! Jamin loved eating an apple from it! It struggled a bit this year to produce fruit because we got it from TRAX's yard and don't really know where they got it from lol. Next year I think it will do much better since it will have a more permanent home in our backyard!

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables! I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. 4/20-4/24

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous! Just driving in Harvey! We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
