Leadville Trip

In August we took a trip to Leadville. I know it sounds random but Kyle was invited to a bachelor party where he spent the day with some friends from college and so we decided to make it a family trip. The first night there I wasn't too impressed. The motels (they don't have any hotels there) were way over priced and nothing seemed to be open for dinner but the Pizza Hut across the street from our hotel. The next day Kyle went golfing with his friends and I set out to have an adventure with Jamin, Landin and Dylin. The original plan was to take a train ride but it was cold and rainy and when I asked about the train ride, people said it was long and pretty windy. So I opted out of that experience with three young kids. We went back to the hotel for a little bit and then checked out. After that I decided to pick up lunch and head to a fish hatchery near by. This is when I started to fall in love with this town. The boys had a blast and it was incredibly gorgeous. Did I mention it was FREE?! We ended up staying there for 3 hours just playing and feeding/watching the fish! It was pretty cool to see how many there were there! After the hatchery we went to Turquoise Lake. It was so beautiful there! The boys had to throw rocks into the lake and before you knew it, it was late afternoon and time to head back to pick up Kyle. We drove though a few different parts of town and I loved all the character and community that was there. We hope to go back and camp next summer!!!

Getting ready to leave! "mom stop taking out picture'

We made a stop half way and the boys all went potty while I fed Dylin. The forest ranger spoiled them with snap on bracelets!

It was really pretty at this rest stop...lots of nice hiking trails

Getting to our motel.

Just playing with baby brother!

The boys thought it was funny to stick their fingers in Dylin's mouth...poor Dylin

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

4/20-4/24

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Here are a few pictures! We even go the moose in the picture! Jamin got scared of the big hippo :( ...

Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
