Mini Vaca with the Tyler and Megan!

In March 2015, Kyle and I went to Cripple Creek with our good friends, Tyler and Megan! We did a mine tour and then out to dinner and stayed at the casinos in Cripple Creek! We had a blast with them! It was hard to leave the boys overnight, especially since it was the first time leaving Dylin overnight and he was so young, but they all did awesome with Grandma and Grandpa VanHorn which was very comforting.
Tyler getting up and personal with the ATM on our way out of town. This ATM drive through was tiny and we had to squeeze our car through it lol.

While we are waiting for our mine tour we drove up the hill to look at the excavating that was going on up there! It was awesome to see how ENORMOUS the trucks were. They look small in the photos but they were huge!

Getting ready to go down into the mountain!
This elevator is what we used to go down into the mine. I think they called it an 9 man elevator? The point is that nine grown men  squeeze into this tiny elevator each day to go down and work. Let me tell you this thing was tiny. We had 6 adults in there in our trip and everybody was up in each other's business lol. If you are claustrophobic do not do a mine tour. The elevator walls were tight to the elevator and it gets pitch black for long periods of time. What a fun adventure though!

A group selfie inside the elevator.
Getting our tour. The tour guide used to be a miner and would do demonstrations with us!

This machine was soooo loud
Getting a ride on the mining cart!

Looking WAYYY down!
We had a blast with you, Tyler and Megan!

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

4/20-4/24

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Here are a few pictures! We even go the moose in the picture! Jamin got scared of the big hippo :( ...

Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
