Landin's 2nd Birthday Party

Landin's 2nd Birthday party was Pirate Themed! I had a lot of fun putting it together. Landin loves pretending to be on a pirate ship and fight with swords so we set up a fun treasure hunt/pirate activities for all the kids to enjoy!

My mom and Aunt Lori!

Walk the plank lol...I had something totally different planned for this but when I asked Kyle to set it up I came back to a tiny 2x4 for the kids to walk across lol...Kyle said that he wanted to make it a challenge for the kids lol

Some decorations

Table for pirate tattoos and pirate masks. This is where the treasure hunt started.

Silly pirate photo booth. I was able to make a bunch of props for people to take pictures with. The background ended up being pretty plain after all the other stuff blew away :(
A few of my favorites pictures from the silly pirate photo booth...

Running and playing!

At the end of the scavenger hunt...X marks the spot. Each kid got to 'dig' up their goodie bag. I wanted to make it easy because after all it was a party for a two year old

Nathan squirting his mom and brother with a squirt gun

My birthday boy!

The AMAZING cake that my mother-in-law made. Can you believe that all of that is cake and edible???

So amazing!

Walking the plank!

We love Uncle Tyler!

Landin with all the girls lol

Of course we had to have the giant slip n slide again

Kyle and I made a bunch of pirate swords out of balloons for the kids to have and hit each other with

getting his pirate tattoo!

Cool dude!

This pirate water table worked out perfectly. We had gotten it last Christmas from my parents.

Landin wanted to hang out with our neighbors most of the time lol

Cannon ball toss

Arrrgggghhhh Matey!

Cake and Ice cream time! Dylin slept almost the entire party lol
Missing our little Dylin...he was snoozing still

The endless gifts...

Landin was getting distracted and not very interested in opening any more gifts

Cousin love after the party...Priscilla and Dylin (finally awake)

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Here are a few pictures! We even go the moose in the picture! Jamin got scared of the big hippo :( ...

Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
