Tadpoles, Frogs and boys!

In June, we were blessed by the boys getting A LOT of tadpoles from a nearby pond. There were over 50 tadpoles so I tried my best to give most of them away because I would die if I had over 50 frogs hopping around our house lol. We eneded up keeping about 11. I thought that most would eventually not make it so that is the number I landed on. The boys had a lot of fun learning about the frog life-cycle. We did a few preschool activities to learn about them and then they went to work on taking care of them.

The boys were way into setting up the habitat!

Getting ready for the great transfer! There was mosquito larva in the pond water that the tadpoles were eating so we had to be careful not to transfer all those with the tadpoles. We ended up getting a few mosquitoes but nothing that took over out house.

The tadpoles were pretty small and would slip under the bottom of this partiular habitat so we ended up getting a different one that worked much better. After everything, we ended up with three frogs that sadly died during a cold summer night we had :( The boys still had a lot of fun learning about the whole process and mommy had not so much fun taking care of them lol. Seriously though, it was fun but I am glad we don't have extra pets that I am having to care for, things are just way to busy around here and the boys are still a little too small to be responsible enough to take care of extra pets.

Hard to tell there are frogs in there because they are so small.

The neighbor boys found toads at a nearby pond!

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

4/20-4/24

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Here are a few pictures! We even go the moose in the picture! Jamin got scared of the big hippo :( ...

Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
