Kyle's Knee Surgery January 2016

While Kyle was playing basketball at our gym he started to experience some pain in his knee. He doesn't remember falling or injuring it but the pain persisted for many months and while we thought it was just tendinitis it ended up being a torn patella tendon.

OMG yes I am posting a picture of my husbands butt lol It's not like the whole world hasn't seen it lol. He was striking a pose in his gown before surgery lol.

 Before going into surgery...
After Surgery when I first got to see him....it was only suppoed to take 30 minutes for him to get out of anesthesia but Kyle was having such a hard time coming around that it took him 4 hours lol. It eneded up going great though and he is recovering well. With this kind of repair, which he had done when I many years ago on his other knee from our boating accident, take about 6 months before he can even start running or lifting weights again so he still has a long time before he can really feel the results.
Kyle loved driving around Walmart in this sweet ride while we waited for his pain meds. At one point he thought it was in reverse but had it in drive and ran right into some shelves HAHAHA.
He was still pretty worn out from the surgery for about a day and a half.

The next day at his post-op appointment. The boys we really interested in seeing the surgery site and everything going on.

The boys thought it was so funny to put daddy's knee brace on over their entire bodies lol

Kyle is still doing really well. We opted to do an experimental treatment during surgery that came out of pocket, so we are hopeful that his will help him heal well! He will continue doing physical therapy for a few more months.

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

4/20-4/24

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Here are a few pictures! We even go the moose in the picture! Jamin got scared of the big hippo :( ...

Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
