Celebrating 5 Years of Marriage!!

Crazy to think that it's been 5 years. We kept with tradition and got our favorite, Louie's Pizza and had ourselves a nice little picnic at the same place we got married.

It had just got done raining and another storm was rolling in but God kept it clear for us during our time up there.

Kyle chowing down lol
Since our first year Anniversary I have kept a journal/scrapbook of our lives together. I update each year for our anniversary and give it to Kyle. It is so much fun to look through it every year.

Kisses!

Tryng to get our camera set up so we can get some pictures of both of us in it lol
Every year we always struggle to get the camera set up and then the timer going and then race into the frame...they always end up pretty awkward but here you go...

The excitement of our date hadn't even began until Kyle whipped out a nice little surprise for me lol...
Since we do traditional wedding anniversary gifts for each other I was expecting something made out of wood but Kyle said that he had a surprise for me and it was his own creative twist on the traditional wedding gift...
His gift was an awesome mountain bike! His idea was that we would go for a bike ride 'in the woods'. So I guess he did keep within the rules. I only have a road bike and it is really hard to tow the kids in he trailer with it and extremely hard to do anything fun in it that is not on clean pavement.
I may look super excited here but what these pictures don't show is the storm rolling in and the rain starting to fall. But we didn't let that stop us so we proceeded on our bike ride.

The rain was starting to come down a little harder so we headed back to the truck

Couldn't get my footing and it was tricky once I got in the footstraps
This is an after picture but he got me a mountain bike!!!!!!
Well, by the end I was soaking wet, and was trying to get up a hill when I lost my balance and couldn't get my feet out of the straps and I took a big spill. I know, super romantic on our anniversary lol. I loved the adventure though and truly did have so much fun!
On our way to pick up the boys we got one of our favorites...a 'baby cake'. We call them baby cakes because I always craved them when I was pregnant (no I am not pregnant lol). I just love the frosting part

We do traditional wedding anniversary gifts for each other each year. This year the gift is 'wood'. We are planning on finishing our basement in the next couple years so I thought I would get him our first 2x4 (of the hundreds we need) and paint it and make it special so that we can remember our anniversary in that way and know that it was helping to build part of our future. As many of the moms out there know, it is so hard to go shopping, have time to do something artistic and hide a gift with two toddlers. So I decided to have the boys be a part of the fun. The 2x4 didn't turn out as elegant as I had pictured and Jamin kept trying to show daddy where it was hid before our anniversary but here it is.

The boys helped me color it and we put our footprints and handprints on it.

Wonderful little company!

Yesterday I had the honor to watch Nathan. Nathan's parents are Matt and Sonya, friends from our small group at church. We had a blast all afternoon. Both the boys didn't take naps so I thought it was going to be a rough afternoon but I think they got energy from one another. I was nervous for dinner time too but they both did great. Both ate like champs...even ate their vegetables!  I put these two to work right away lol Busy building something great! We went outside for a bit. It was hard to keep these two together in the front so we headed out back! Nathan loved exploring! Showing me a sweet rock that he found! Jamin exploring too! Wondering where he should go next. There are so many things to see in our backyard  The boys looking at the rocks and weeds lol Nathan showing Jamin the treasure (weed) that he found! We played on the swings for a while too. One would be in this swing while I held the other in the other swing! (Sorry my...

4/20-4/24

I couldn't really think of a title for this post so I decided to just states the dates lol. Last week Jamin and I went to Focus on the Family with our friends Sonya and Nathan. I just got done reading Bringing Up Boys which was written by the Founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Although Focus on the Family is a place I would hear about while growing up, I really didn't know a lot about it. My friend Sonya went to their Institute and so our trip planning began to go visit it! Group picture after taking the tour We can never get a great shot of the boys lol These were taken in their really awesome play area! Love this picture! Stroller parking!!! A smile that makes my heart melt everytime! Jamin and Nathan Mommy was way too big for this little boat lol Silly faces  We also went to the zoo with Sonya and Nathan last week. Here are a few pictures! We even go the moose in the picture! Jamin got scared of the big hippo :( ...

Road Trip Part 5

Monday morning rolled around and we decided to make our way from Bozeman down to the West Yellowstone Entrance. The drive was amazingly gorgeous!  Just driving in Harvey!  We made it to West Yellowstone but were turned away from two different RV parks because of the amount of kids we had with us. This was the first time I have ever felt looked down upon and discriminated against. I literally had one man ripped a piece of paper out of my hands because he didn't even want to consider letting that many people stay in his park. I explained to him that they are all young and well behaved kids but apparently he has had way too many bad experiences with kids. We didn't let it get us down though. We finally found one that didn't have any concerns letting 4 adults come in with 5 kiddos. The place was actually brand new and the closest RV park to the west Yellowstone entrance so we really lucked out!!! After we got checked in we decided to go into the park ...
